Make a change.
Hi! My name is Sarah. I’m a 40 something year old mom of two, wife, daughter, friend. I am many things for many people and I have been for quite some time. But, at a certain point, I started to put myself second to everyone around me and stopped taking care of myself. It’s a tale as old as time.
I woke up one day and decided to do something about it. Not right away though. It still took me three months to fully make a lifestyle change. But once the decision was made, I committed to it.
I joined my local Weight Watches class, acquired not one but TWO gym memberships, and off I went. I started out doing 10 minutes of walking on a treadmill which, at the time, was a challenge. But I kept going. I followed the WW program and while I wasn’t perfect at it, I remained consistent. My stamina for working out slowly increased. I went from 10 minutes to 20 minutes and eventually I was able to do an hours of high level intensity cardio while barely breaking a sweat. And I’m still on the journey, working to be my best self every day. I realized that this is a journey I will be on for life.
Let’s talk about food. I love it. I love good for you food and bad for you food. I’ll eat it all. But now, I do so in moderation. I also know food. I’ve spent years talking to nutritionists, doing my own research about how food affects your body and mood, and have worked to find the right balance for myself. I was co-owner of a catering company for five years with the majority of my job buying, preparing, and cooking the food - so I also know how to make it.
And here comes the connection. I want to share what I’ve learned in my health journey with others that want to hear it. I have go to meals that I prepare for myself to maintain a calorie deficit and stay within my WW points. I have lost 85lbs without medical intervention, surgery, or drugs. Only portion control and mind over matter.
Great things are afoot. Join me in living our best lives. The time is now.
